2009- bring me fun, love and productivity

happy new year!
I'm now all color coordinated and organized for the new year, which is wonderful news since I have a new sewing machine as well! there is an empty bin under my table, and I've made it my goal to fill it with painted hand made bags by the end of this year. its so much better now that all my fabric is visible. It makes it much easier to brainstorm ideas when I can see what I have to work with.

Same goes with my polymer clay stuff. its all organized and ready for me to dive in and create! lately I'm super inspired by Anthropologie's home decor. now i want to make door knobs, switch plates, cabinet handles, and silverware handles out of sculpey clay! we will see what comes out of this.

cosmetic bag project

laughed a lot while working on this with my mom. following a pattern I found on the net, which was obviously European, with lots of foreign terminology. I love spending the time with her on projects like these. I want to make more and perfect them! I have lots of ideas! love those..

yay for more bags!

The Kanji symbol Fuki, which means fortune and well being, is an image of a stone jar filled with food or wine. When Plenty of wine and food is stored we feel comfort and have confidence in the future.

This bag was finished in one day. A few mistakes, but I am very happy with it. Happy Birthday Tobie!

Green Man Bag

This is my second bag! and this time I bought the canvas bag at the craft store, sewed in the lining, and the pockets, and the handle. painted the outside with Acrylic paint.. the HLB designs thing on the back was a last minute decision, I may or may not stick with it. I might not even be doing this in a week. but I hope I do! again, if you want one.. I'm selling them now! :)
